Elizabeth Vander Zaag - CEO / Researcher
Elizabeth has an interdisciplinary masters degree from UBC,
which gives her the breadth of research to work in the design and deployment of Mermaid Power technology and outreach.
Elizabeth is a pioneer in digital arts in Canada and working in cutting edge renewable wave energy is a natural progression for her passion for innovation.
She has honed her management skills in managing companies such as Front Media Ltd, CougarDate.com, North Arm Holdings Ltd and Ross House Holdings Ltd.
Charles Haynes - Chief Technology Officer
Charles has a Masters in Architecture from UBC.
Charles' skills at building are not limited to dwellings but have afforded him
the vision and precision to create software programmes and new technologies.
The Mermaid Wave Power Plant is the current manifestation of his remarkable
ability to bring complex ideas to realization.
Charles' passion for new ideas is accompanied by an attention to detail that
is at the core of the functionality of this new and exciting renewable energy project.
Nils Meyer - Technologist
Nils is a journeyman joiner who has executed all aspects of the production
of Mermaid Wave Power Plant. Model building, welding, fabrication,
testing, and even fibreglassing are all part of the activities to which Nils brings
a strong mathematical ability and experimental attitude.
Nils' contribution to the project is to enhance Charles' designs and methods.
The creativity of this project is enhanced by Nils' collaborative skills.
